VISIT TAM COC CAVES AND TEMPLES (B)

A 2.5-hour drive to Ninh Binh province will bring you to Hoa Lu ancient capital. This was the first centralized feudal state in Vietnam at the end of the 10^th century. The ravages of time have destroyed the ancient citadel but some vestiges including King Dinh and King Le worship temples still stand to this day among the rice paddies and are a worthwhile visit to get a glimpse of the ancient Vietnamese past.

Tam Coc known as "Halong Bay on Land" boasting breathtaking scenery, “Tam Coc” means three caves. We get on small rowing boats, the boat trip to all three caves takes about two hours. Continue visiting Bich Dong Grotto (emerald-like grotto), around 2km from Tam Coc by car, climb a little bit till you get to the top of the Upper pagoda and your eyes catch the overall panorama of the paddy fields between Truong Yen Mountain. The king conferred on Bich Dong the title “The Second Most Beautiful Grotto in Vietnam”. A scene of the popular French movie "Indochine" had been completed here in 1991.

HALF DAY CRUISE ON HA LONG BAY (B, L)

Have breakfast at your hotel. Take a drive to Ha Long bay. You will get on aboard your private boat cruising 04h around this magnificent bay and among thousands islands that jut out of the sea with its spectacular natural environment - you will also have the opportunity to stop at two of the many grottoes. The first stop is Dong Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Grotto), located on a remote island in the bay. As the name suggests, the cave adorned with fantastic stalactites and stalagmites. Colored lights transform the scene into a fairytale palace, Dau Go Cave with History of Vietnam`s fight Mongolian 13th Century. We continue cruise to the southern part of the Bay to see Fighting Cocks islets, Sea Dog islets… and stop for swimming in blue bay.

Have seafood lunch on cruise and then cruising back to the port.

DRIVE BACK HA NOI AND CITY TOUR (B)

Breakfast at hotel then drive back Ha Noi. Check in your hotel upon arrival.

Then Enjoy a walking tour through the Old Quarter to enjoy the bustling local life, then cap off the day with a show at the water puppet theatre - a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes of rural life and episodes of national history.
